Rep AI charges a flat monthly rate for a seat. It does not take a percentage of any deal it negotiates, at any deal size, ever.
That is a pricing decision, but the reason for it is not a pricing reason.
A commission is an instruction
An agent that earns a percentage of what it closes has a preference about whether you close. Not a stated one — a structural one. Every judgement call it makes downstream of that fee is made by something that gets paid more when you say yes.
Consider the specific moment this product exists for: a brand comes back with an offer under your floor. The correct behaviour is to counter and risk the deal. The behaviour that pays a commission better is to bring you the offer with an encouraging note attached.
You would never see the difference. Both versions produce an email in your queue that says there is an offer. One of them is advice and the other is a sales pitch wearing advice's clothes, and from the outside they are the same screen.
So we removed the incentive rather than promising to resist it. There is no percentage anywhere in the system, which means there is no number that moves when your deal size moves.
What it costs instead
A flat seat, monthly, published on the pricing page rather than quoted on a call. Founding-cohort rate holds for as long as you stay on it.
The arithmetic runs the other way from a commission, and it is worth being plain about who that favours. If you close one small deal a month, a percentage would have been cheaper for you. If you close well, the flat rate is dramatically cheaper — and it keeps being cheaper the better you do, which is the opposite of how representation usually prices.
We would rather have the second kind of customer, and we would rather say that out loud than build a fee that quietly hopes for the first.
The other thing a flat fee buys
You can leave. A commission structure has to be unwound — there are open deals, attribution windows, arguments about who sourced what. A seat is a seat: you cancel it and the arrangement is over, and the brand relationships stay where they always were, in your own inbox under your own name.
That matters more than it sounds like it does. The cost of trying a tool is not its price, it is how hard it is to stop.
